Gatwick has joined a new group launched with the aim of tackling climate change in the region. The West Sussex Environment & Climate Change Board was launched last week. Developed by West Sussex County Council, the board is made up of local organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Leader of West Sussex County Council Louise Goldsmith said: ‘This project brings together organisations and businesses to look at how we can tackle climate change in West Sussex and also be as sustainable as possible. Initially it will be focusing on four key themes - low carbon and energy, green economy and skills, environmental resilience, and sustainable transport and infrastructure.’
