Virgin Puerto Rico flights take off tomorrow
04.11.09
Virgin Atlantic is to launch a new route between the UK and its ninth Caribbean destination tomorrow. The Boeing 747-400 service from Gatwick to San Juan, Puerto Rico – one of the region’s key cruise hubs – will complement the airline’s existing flights to the Caribbean - to Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, Grenada, Tobago, Havana and Montego Bay and Kingston in Jamaica.
The new flights from Gatwick depart on Saturdays at 09:25, arriving into San Juan at 16:05 the same day (local time) and depart on Saturdays from San Juan leaving at 18:05, arriving into Gatwick at 08:35 the following morning. The new service allows Virgin Holidays Cruises to offer a range of cruise holidays from the island, a very popular starting point for US based cruise lines.
