Monarch breaks £1m in sales via PayPal
11.03.08
Monarch has made more than £1m in sales using PayPal's secure payments option, it has announced. The service allows people to pay for flights online whilst protecting their transactions and personal information.
The airline became the first in Europe to offer its customers the option to pay for flights via PayPal in October. It accepts the online payment method for flight bookings, to make changes to bookings, to upgrade or add seats, and pay for hold baggage.
Monarch managing director Liz Savage said: ‘We are delighted to have breached £1m in sales so quickly with PayPal. We are still the only European airline to offer the PayPal payment option and since launch in October 2007 our sales have grown significantly.’
