Passengers down 3.1% in July

Passengers at Gatwick fell by 3.1% last month, as 3.43 million people passed through its two terminals.
North Atlantic routes saw the biggest drop in passengers, down by 12%, while traffic from the Irish Republic was down 11.7%. However, the amount of cargo carried on flights to and from the hub increased by 95% compared with July 2009.
