British holiday company Goldtrail has collapsed stranding thousands of holidaymakers abroad, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed. The Greece and Turkey budget holiday specialist, based in New Malden, Surrey, went into administration on Friday afternoon with an estimated 16,000 holidaymakers abroad. The CAA is arranging to fly these customers home after their holiday.
Flights home from Turkey will operate as normal but holidaymakers in Greece have been warned to expect changes and advised to check with representatives at local airports. Those who have booked with the company but yet to travel have lost their holiday and theCAA has told them to check with their travel agent before travelling to the airport.
Goldtrail customers can call the CAA on 0203 4410846 for the latest information or visit www.caa.co.uk.
