Scientists reveal quick / cheap liquids test

German Scientists have developed a quick technique for detecting liquids that could be used as explosives. If commercialised, they say that it could end airport liquid bans.
The light-based approach uses cheap components, and so would be cheap it implement. It can reliably identify a range of liquids in one-fifth of a second, the scientists say. Their work was published in the journal Superconductor Science & Technology.
