Cosmos to resume Kenya flights
21.03.08
Cosmos is to resume its charter programme to Mombassa, Kenya in May, with weekly flights from Gatwick Airport. The tour operator' current scheduled programme from Heathrow to Nairobi to serve safari combinations will also continue throughout the summer season.
The Kenya programme was suspended at the beginning of the year following civil unrest in the African country. However, the Monday charter service from Gatwick, operated by Monarch Airlines, will start up again on May 5.
Sara Gelder, head of special products at Cosmos, said: ‘As a result of assurances we have received from the Kenyan Government, plus advice from our agents and suppliers on the ground, we believe that Kenya is now firmly open for business.’
