Monarch help Kiss customers
23.08.10
Monarch has announced extra flights and a special discount to help customers with future flight bookings affected by the failure of Kiss last week. Although those already on holiday after taking flights with the failed holiday airline will be flown home under the CAA protection scheme, those with forward bookings will receive a refund, but have lost their flights - and therefore their holiday unless they can find new flights.
A number of airlines, including seat only operator Avro, are increasing flights to Kiss destinations to take advantage of the demand the failure of the flights operator has caused. Monarch has announced that it will run five additional flights between Gatwick and Dalaman next month. In addition, passengers can get £10 off a return fare with the airline by entering the code ‘KISS’ when booking selected flights from 1 November 2010 to 30 April 2011 on routes to Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar or Cyprus.
Monarch Managing Director Tim Jeans said: ‘We are seeing the strongest demand for flights to Dalaman from customers previously booked with Kiss and are delighted to be able to offer these additional Gatwick flights. We will continue to monitor the situation with a view to adding further flights to destinations that may be required.'
