Prices of last minute package holidays are up to a third cheaper that last year, as many people decide to stay at home amid the current economic uncertainty. Research by Co-operative Travel found prices are being cut particularly aggressively to resorts in Greece and Turkey.
The poll suggests savings for those looking for a last minute package, with the average price paid for a family break to Paphos down by 34% this year compared with last summer. They also found prices down by 29% for holidays to Crete, 26% to Zante, and 24% to Turkey.
