easyJet plane in flight emergency

An easyJet aircraft returned to Gatwick after take-off late yesterday afternoon because of technical problems. Flight EZY8791 departed at 14:30 for a four-hour journey to Rhodes. It touched down again safely at Gatwick at 17:15, with emergency services in attendance.
A spokeswoman for the airport said: ‘We had an aircraft that had returned because it had a hydraulic problem. Emergency services were sent to the runway as a precaution, as always do for any aircraft experiencing difficulties. It landed safely and all of the passengers have disembarked.’
