Spain’s Albertis interested in Gatwick
29.04.08
A Spanish newspaper report suggests that Gatwick could go from one Spanish owner to another. Expansion, which does not cite its source, says that Abertis Infraestructuras would be interested in purchasing some of BAA's airport assets if the Competition Commission forces the airports operator to sell, and that it particularly interested in Gatwick.
Abertis already operates Luton, Cardiff and Belfast airports, and is involved in groups bidding for airports in Chicago and Prague. According to Expansion, Abertis is eyeing the BAA's 'Gatwick assets'.
