30.03.08
A 'full emergency' was declared at Gatwick yesterday, when a plane trying to land suffered a hydraulic leak, the Crawley Observer reports. The Monarch Boeing 757 touched down safely at 13:00 yesterday and the incident was quickly downgraded to local standby and dealt with by Gatwick fire crew.
No one was hurt and passengers disembarked normally. A spokesman from the airport said: ‘The plane landed safely and there were no issues with passengers or damage.’
